Secret Sauce 10 - grymnk

This mix was inspired by the people I love in my life and the countless hours we have had eating on my living room floor around my circular table. The mix is silly and the style is in what I can only describe as clown techno. It serves as a form of escapism and hopefully conveys the feeling you have when you are with those loves in your life whom you can be your freak self.

To be honest, I don't cook... except during covid I learned how to cook Korean food, and I love it. I would definitely pair this mix with Japchae (잡채) which means in Korean "mixed vegetables". It is a dish that was first created for royalty in the 17th century, and remains one of the most popular dishes today in Korea. I love it, because it consists of glass noodles and whatever veggies or meat you want to combine it with. It is colorful and flavorful and I love to cook it for group gatherings and hangs.

Ingredients:

- 8oz Glass noodles/Korean Starch Noodles
- 2 egg fried over hard
- Splashes of sesame oil
- Splashes of soy sauce low sodium (coconut aminos)
- Splashes of white Vinegar
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 tsp of sesame seeds
*can add meat or tofu to it

Variety of veggies
CHOOSE SOME OR ALL OR YOUR OWN!

- 1/4 of a yellow onion
- 1/2 of a red pepper sliced into small strips
- 2 carrots sliced into strips
- 2c of spinach sauteed
- 2 stalks of green onion chopped

Method:

  1. Save your noodles for cooking last as they will come 2gether quickly-!
Cook egg over hard in a pan. When finished, let cool and slice into thin slices.
  2. Heat pan over medium high and some sesame oil and add the onions. Cook for about 2min
  3. Add the garlic and then red pepper and carrotsCareful! Do not overcook them! You want them to be slightly crunchy. Set them aside when you are done.
Add some more oil to the pan and saute the spinach until it starts to wilt and add a pinch of salt.
  4. Cook the glass noodles according to your package directions.
  5. Toss in the veggies and egg
  6. Add in soy sauce and sesame oil and white vinegar to taste
  7. Add sesame seeds and green onion as a garnish on top!
  8. These can be served hot or cold If you refrigerate, due to the sesame oil, eat within 3 days of making it!
